AFA's Impact

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

We would be remiss if we let January pass without sharing our Annual Report – which details our work in 2023 and now with 80 cities across America and counting! 

We encourage you to download the full report. In the meantime, here are some key metrics:

• 300 leaders are now part of our Economic and Community Development Practitioners' Network, which regularly convenes to share best practices to advance local economic development initiatives.
   

• Our Innovative Infrastructure Initiative (i3) work with 10 communities in 9 states encompasses a population of 15 million Americans and $2 billion of potential infrastructure projects.
   

• Our Data for Housing Solutions partnership with Tolemi is working with 17 communities to apply data tools to address the affordable housing crisis.
   

• After being tapped by USDOT, AFA and our partners are working with 14 communities to best leverage federal infrastructure dollars. 

And we were honored to have our work recognized by the White House:

AFA has never wavered from our core mission to find and develop solutions to economic insecurity and to share them with communities to create national change from the ground up. We are proud that we have innovated, adapted and grown our network to keep up with the evolving needs of America’s local communities.

We are ready for whatever 2024 brings.
